Strengthening Communities Through Affordable Housing
We understand the difficulty of the current housing market – finding a quality living situation for you and your family at an affordable price has never been more challenging. Rising rents, limited availability, and unpredictable costs affect even full-time workers.
Catholic Charities New Hampshire is responding by building high-quality, affordable workforce housing that supports stability, independence, and the ability to plan ahead. We believe you deserve a safe place to live – and that our communities are stronger when housing is within reach for everyone.
We are accepting housing applications for our first project, Vose Farm Residences in Peterborough, and are actively exploring additional communities across New Hampshire.

Our Vision
Our housing communities are designed to create space for what matters most — health, family, work, goals, and building a future.
Managing one’s life and budget is not about limitation; it is about balance, resilience, and opportunity. When housing costs are predictable and manageable, people are better able to move their lives forward rather than constantly reacting to rising costs and uncertainty.
We believe everyone deserves a well-designed, safe, and welcoming home — and a community culture built on respect, connection, and shared responsibility. When people feel secure in their homes, they are better able to grow, contribute, and thrive. This belief is at the heart of our living communities.
How It Works
Catholic Charities’ affordable workforce housing communities provide qualified individuals and families with stable rental homes based on federal income guidelines for each community’s location.
Rents are established using income limits published annually by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), based on household income as a percentage of the Area Median Income (AMI). AMI represents the midpoint of household incomes within a given geographic area. This approach ensures housing costs remain predictable, affordable, and sustainable over time.
By keeping costs manageable, residents are better able to meet other essential needs such as healthy food, preventive healthcare, transportation, education, debt reduction, and savings — supporting long-term financial stability and well-being.
