Catholic Charities NH Marks 80 Years in a Special Way

Catholic Charities New Hampshire celebrated 80 years of service in a meaningful way, raising $300,000 at its inaugural Sweetheart Ball on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Manchester.

For 80 years, Catholic Charities New Hampshire has delivered healing, shelter, food, and hope to individuals and families in need, made possible through donor generosity.

More than 400 friends of Catholic Charities gathered to mark this impact in New Hampshire, enjoying an evening of beautiful dining, lively dancing, spirited auctions, and a surprise flash mob. Guests bid on extraordinary experiences, including front-row Boston Celtics tickets, exclusive getaways, and premier dining, with every bid strengthening life-changing programs serving neighbors across the Granite State.

“Over eight decades, Catholic Charities has stood beside our neighbors during some of the most difficult moments of their lives,” said Tom Blonski, President & CEO of Catholic Charities NH. “This evening was not only a celebration of our history, but a powerful reminder of what is possible when a community comes together to support those who need it most. Together, we are rebuilding lives with stability, dignity, and renewed hope.”

All proceeds benefited Catholic Charities NH programs, which serve approximately 1-in-10 residents across the state.

The Sweetheart Ball is made possible through the generous support of our community and sponsors, including our presenting sponsor, CGI Business Solutions. The event replaced the organization’s traditional Mardi Gras celebration in honor of its 80th anniversary year. Mardi Gras will return to Manchester on Saturday, February 6, 2027.
