CCNH Promotes Coughlin to Director of Mental Health Counseling Services

Catholic Charities NH, the state’s largest human services organization, announced the promotion of Cindy Coughlin to Director of Mental Health Counseling Services.
In her new role, Coughlin will oversee the delivery of services and day-to-day operations of the organization’s Mental Health Counseling Services, which provide in-person and teletherapy support, helping individuals address anxiety, depression, and other challenges that affect daily life.
Coughlin has been part of the Catholic Charities NH counseling team since 2019, providing hundreds of sessions each year as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. She supports both English- and Spanish-speaking clients from the organization’s Nashua and Manchester offices.
“I’m excited to continue expanding my passion for supporting people during their most difficult moments,” said Coughlin. “Mental health plays an integral role in every person’s life, and I look forward to leading our team as we continue to provide the compassionate, high-quality care every client deserves.”
Coughlin received her Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Rivier University and her Bachelor of Arts from Magdalen College. Prior to joining Catholic Charities NH as a Mental Health Counseling Intern, Coughlin served as a youth and adult minister for two parishes in the Diocese of Manchester.
Over the past year, Catholic Charities NH provided nearly 2,100 counseling sessions, helping individuals of all ages and backgrounds develop the coping skills to navigate life’s challenges and improve their overall quality of life. 80% of clients reported positive changes in behavior and 79% noted improvements in their overall well-being. Services are covered by most major insurance plans, with a sliding fee scale available to ensure counseling remains accessible and affordable, regardless of financial circumstances.
