Two Manchester Long-Term Care Facilities Receive National Honor

Two Manchester skilled nursing facilities, St. Teresa Rehabilitation and Nursing Center and St. Joseph Residence, were both named among the nation’s top providers of long-term care by U.S. News & World Report.

Each year, U.S. News & World Report closely evaluates nearly 15,000 facilities nationwide through its Best Nursing Homes ratings, widely considered a benchmark of excellence across the industry. Facilities were assessed across 17 distinct quality measures, including post-acute care quality, nurse staffing consistency, and patient-centered outcomes. Both St. Teresa and St. Joseph received the “High Performing” designation. Top-rated nursing homes have a 15% lower hospitalization rate for long-term residents than the national average.

“This recognition belongs to our staff, our residents, and the families who trust us every day,” said Alain Bernard, Assistant Vice President of Healthcare Services for Catholic Charities NH. “High-quality, compassionate care is happening right here in Manchester, thanks to the committed staff who show up every day to help residents live fully, with dignity and purpose.”

St. Teresa Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is a 51-bed facility owned and operated by Catholic Charities NH, providing person-centered long-term care, short-term rehabilitation, independent living, and other services. St. Joseph Residence is a 22-bed facility managed by Catholic Charities New Hampshire, providing short-term rehabilitation and long-term care for retired religious sisters.
