Warde Expands Short-Term Rehabilitation Program

Warde Senior Living, a Catholic Charities NH senior care community, is expanding its award-winning short-term rehabilitation program with the opening of a new rehabilitation unit, featuring 16 new private room and baths.

The expansion comes in response to growing regional demand for short-term rehabilitation services for older adults recovering from illness, injury or surgery and preparing to return home.

“It’s clear there is an increasing demand for high-quality short-term skilled nursing and rehabilitation services in our region,” said Shari LaRoche, Administrator of Warde Senior Living. “This new unit allows us to serve more residents across southern New Hampshire and northern Massachusetts while helping them safely and successfully transition from hospital and acute care settings back home.”

The new rehabilitation unit brings Warde’s total skilled nursing capacity, featuring both short-term rehabilitation and long-term care services, to 48 private beds. Residents receive individualized care built around their unique needs and recovery journey. Services include physical, occupational and speech therapy, along with 24-hour skilled nursing care aimed at restoring strength, mobility and independence.

Situated on 40 acres of land in Windham, Warde Senior Living provides a continuum of senior care services, including short-term rehabilitation, long-term care and assisted living. The campus also includes Searles Place, an independent living community featuring 21 private, state-of-the-art apartments.

Warde was named among the nation’s top providers of short-term rehabilitation by U.S. News & World Report and recently received the 2026 Customer Service Experience Award from Activated Insights for excellence in customer service.

Warde Senior Living will commemorate the expansion with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, June 25, followed by tours.
