CCNH Healthcare Centers Among Nation’s Best Short-Term Rehab

Two Catholic Charities NH healthcare facilities – Mt. Carmel Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Manchester and St. Ann Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Dover – were each recognized as a Best Nursing Home for short-term rehabilitation for 2025 by U.S. News & World Report.

The national Best Nursing Home ratings, now in their 14th year, are based on various quality of care and performance metrics from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). This includes safety, infection rates, staffing, health inspections and resident outcomes. Both facilities were also recognized for excellence in preventing falls, avoiding serious infections and ensuring residents can return home confidently after their rehabilitation stay.

“This honor reflects our incredible staff and the high-quality care they consistently provide for our residents,” said Alain Bernard, assistant vice president of healthcare services for Catholic Charities NH. “Day in and day out, they demonstrate the power that skilled nursing care has on enabling individuals to overcome even the most complex medical conditions, safely return home and resume life on their own terms.”

Mt. Carmel and St. Ann specialize in short-term rehabilitation services for adults recovering from hospital stays due to surgery, illness or injury. Residents have access to a dedicated rehabilitation team throughout their stay, with a personalized plan of care and 24/7 nursing care and support. Their wide range of physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech-language therapies help individuals regain their strength and functional independence, paving the way for a successful and timely recovery.
